Pastors, Money, and Influence

Joe and Jimmy talk about pastors, money, and influence in light of the ongoing James MacDonald and Harvest Bible Chapel scandal. Before they get into it all they attempt to give some context and offer an apology. In this episode the guys consider how pastors have access to money in the church, and ask, “What principles should govern a minister’s access to and use of church funds?” What about the practice of giving gifts to others or benevolence? Aside from professional and company policies, how do we decide whether we should accept or a reject a gift from someone?
