Doctrine and Devotion's second conference is happening on April 20th and 21st 2018 in the western suburbs of Chicago. This year it's a two day event that will focus on the person and work of the Holy Spirit in the local church. More information is coming soon, but you can register today!


Doug Logan serves as Lead Pastor of Epiphany Camden. Doug and his wife Angel have been married since 1996 and have three adult sons and three grandchildren. He is ordained Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Doug served at both 10th Presbyterian and Epiphany Fellowship before planting EFC. Doug is an Executive Board Member of Acts 29 and is also a Founding Board Member of Thriving. Doug holds a MAM from Capital Seminary & Graduate School. Doug is the author of the book, On The Block: Developing a Biblical Picture for Missional Engagement.

Joe Thorn is the Lead Pastor of Redeemer Fellowship and the author of a few books. His most recent work is a 3 volume set on the local church through Moody Publishers. He and Jen have been married for 20 years and have four children.

Jimmy Fowler is an Elder Candidate, and the Executive Pastoral Assistant at Redeemer Fellowship in St. Charles, IL. He and his wife have been married for over 10 years and have three children.

When and Where

The conference begins Friday 7pm-9pm on April 20th and continues on the 21st from 9am to 5pm. We will meet at New Covenant Bible Church in St. Charles, IL.

Student rate $40

All currently enrolled students can register for the conference and receive a conference journal for only $40. Tees can be purchased at the conference.


Those who register before December 1, 2017 get the early bird discount on full registration ($60). Seating is limited, so register now!


For those staying overnight the closest hotel is the Fairfield Inn and Suites in St. Charles. The hotel is only 3 miles away from the event (about a 5 minute drive.) and close to a number of restaurants and stores.

If you're staying in St. Charles into Sunday you can join us for worship at Redeemer Fellowship where Pastor Doug Logan will be preaching at both of our morning services. We also recommend New Covenant Bible Church in St. Charles, and Westminster Presbyterian in Elgin.
